Honorable mention for Mike.

Can't give him shared credit, though, because the rules are the rules. You can both take comfort from the fact that the stakes are breathtakingly low.

Of course, there are hours left until midnight. Nobody's won anything yet.

Your rules, but I think Mike deserves shared credit, or at least an honorable mention; based on what you said, he came up with an equally short chain that was neither mine nor yours.

That holds up, but it only ties Neel, and his was the earlier entry.

Still, I enjoyed learning about Paul McCartney's Shakespeare connection.

Welcome back, Mike!

Crazy Cat Lady isn't meant to be you. It's a character from The Simpsons.

As I said, the choice was inspired by, but not meant to be part of, the feud.

You have established to everyone's satisfaction that you are not a cat blogger as I had originally thought. Based on your posting entries about your cats, video about feeding cats, subscription to Cat Fancy magazines, and various cat pictures that adorn your blog, you can understand why I might have jumped to that conclusion.

The Six Degrees choice is usually something from the blog that week. I did not intend for it to be ... catty.

Nicely done. Your entry is good. My solution was also four links. There may be a faster way, but I don't know it.

Crazy Cat Lady doesn't have her own page, otherwise she would have been this week's challenge. So the subject was inspired by and thematically related to the feud, though not actually a part of it.

As I said, the Wikipedia edit appears to be in earnest.

Why is "Feud" among the categories for this post? Does it have to do with Wikipedia edits? Or the Crazy Cat Lady?

Tress MacNeille > Lucille Ball > George Washington > Thomas Jefferson > Sir Francis Bacon

Maybe there's a faster way through Weird Al, but so far I don't see it.
