Thursday Morning Riddle

I’m the boys dressed in blue; I’m the girls pushing mints;
I’m a man or a plane that goes searching for hints;
I go looking for talent in hoops or in sprints;
And I narrate a novel in Harper Lee prints.

Who am I?

    This was a good one! I still don’t get the “girls pushing mints” reference, but I like the sound of it.

    Kimi, I agree they’re the best, especially with milk.

    I had meant to work a Tonto reference in there somewhere. Scout was the name of his horse. Maybe the last line should have been:

    And when Tonto rides through, I’m the one who leaves prints.

    Nilda, I can never be a good judge of how hard the references in my own riddles are. Maybe his wife’s cooking is so good that he’s forgotten all of the junk food of his youth.
