Thursday Morning Riddle

I’m an elegant garment of velvet or wool;
I am worn by a count, but removed for a bull;
A vacation location enjoyed to the full;
And when Superman visits you, Jim says don’t pull.

Who am I?

UPDATE: Riddle solved by Kimi. See comments for answer.

  1. kimi =) Says:

    a cape?

  2. Neel Mehta Says:

    I was thinking COAT/COTE, but Kimi’s suggestion of “cape” makes more sense.

    Re: that last clause. Is “don’t pull my cape” a saying, like “don’t pull my chain”?

  3. Bill Says:

    CAPE is correct. Way to go, Kimi, and welcome to the blog!

    The “count” is Count Dracula. Jim is Jim Croce. Sing it, Jim, and everyone sing along:

    You don’t tug on Superman’s cape
    You don’t spit into the wind
    You don’t pull the mask off that ‘ole Lone Ranger
    And you don’t mess around with Jim

    dada doo da dada dee dee dee dee dee…
